Neuralink Opens Applications for Telepathic Brain Implant Trials

Elon Musk’s company, Neuralink, is now accepting applications for brain implant trials. Who can apply and how?

The trials are focused on testing telepathic brain implants following the “successful” brain surgery of the first participant.

The company notes that more than 100 days of clinical trials have been conducted, during which the first participant received the Neuralink implant, and the surgery was described as “extremely successful.”

Neuralink aims to help paralyzed patients control digital devices using only the power of their thoughts.

New trial participants must meet the following criteria: reside in the US or Canada, be over 18 years old, suffer from quadriplegia, paraplegia, loss of vision, hearing, ability to speak, and/or major limb amputations (above or below the elbow and/or knee), and be capable of giving their consent.
